Dedicated to my first love of many, many years ago

We met in the summer time
on a bright sunny day.
He took my hand and held it,
as afternoons light faded away.

He asked me to meet him
beneath the moon lit sky.
Should I go I wondered,could
he care for someone such as I.

We met in the woodland park
when the stars were shining bright.
The golden moon was casting shadows
in the warm sultry night.

He took me in his arms, kissing
me passionately. Sweet words were
whispered about how much he wanted
me.

My feelings were running rampart,
our emotions were so strong.
I felt desire like this,
can not be so wrong.

Gently he held me while loving
me tenderly.
He was my first true love,
I thought our romance would
always be.

Sometimes love doesn't last forever,
feelings do not stay the same.
Eventually we parted,
yet his memory remains.

Some nights he still comes to me,
as I dream of that moon lit park,
for its where he took my love,
