My husband, Richard & I were married Nov.4,1972 .Today is our 49th Anniversary. He journeyed to Heaven in 2012. I still miss him & wrote this poem for him!
Wishing you were here with me each and every day. Wishing you were by my side ,to hold and comfort me. Ours was a love that was ment to be through the pages of never ending time. We reverently joined our lives together on that special day of days. Our hearts became as one as we traveled along life's road. One day God called you home, my life was torn apart. Such unrelenting sadness, filled my breaking heart. Then one night you came to me and I felt your heavenly love, I finally realized we'd never truly be apart. Many years have slipped by since you left and went away. Today I'll light A candle to make a wish so true , that when I cross over and enter Heaven's Golden Gate, I'll spend eterniy with you. ��

Very beautiful verse and with great longings. I understand fully. I lost my husband in 2016. God called him home. I still miss him dearly everyday. I often talk to his photo and he seems to hear me. I have three children whom I still want to take care of, and I will still be around until I'm sure they'll be alright before I leave to meet my husband. I think he understands me.
