I see
birdies, little explosions of colors in my eyes
my legs are shaking
and
I can smell the mat
blood, sweat and dirty feet
and
hear all around people
screaming
get up

you can do it
and
all I want to do is lay here
and
throw up
uncle you win
how many times can I fall
to my knees
before my brain turns to jelly
how many times
can I take a direct punch to the face
before I talk like Ali
I took the upper cut like a man
but

am
stunned
knocked senseless
