when you throw your stuff out there
you never know
whom it will touch
whom it will appeal to
and
whom it won’t
part of the game
the
hardest
part
is when
you yourself really like a piece
and
a steady eddie
a regular reader
doesn’t
then
your nose gets a little pushed outta shape
and
at least
I
stomp around a bit
and pout
and
EVERY single member of my immediate
family
asks
“what’s wrong”
and I am literally chewing literary nails
ok
so I thought
I had a winner
I thought
Now this is the one, here you go baby, this is IT
and you hear
Well I don’t think it’s your Best piece
and I know you want me to be honest
and your guts churn
and you think
Fine that’s just Great
and take it out on the dog
stupid flea bitten, peeing, barking mess that he is
and
then
your ill intending spouse says
is your Time coming
and now
your spitting nails
All ya All just
BITE Me
and then you let
at least
I
let my mind go down the writers forbidden road
what the hell do I think I’m doing
this is stupid
ridiculous
will you just get the hell over it
and
get on with your life
huh
and then finally
you yank out the piece
and read it again and again
the whole time thinking
what
is
wrong with it
it’s perfect
as is
I still love it
I still think it is worthwhile and beautiful
and says exactly what I wanted it to
exactly like I wanted to
so
you give up
and crawl in bed
and say
ok
tomorrow
I’ll show em tomorrow
and go to sleep
and wake up realizing that
it’s
no
big
deal
and start the whole friggin process All over again
lord help me
HA
alright so I suck at criticism

cool write, you write, what's inside of you and then, throw it out, for the readers, as long as you like it, that's all that matters.....then take the criticism.
