Slow Dance



Let me hold you –
Draw you closer
Into my embrace.

Sway to music
Playing softly
In our minds.

Never worry –
Take no notice
Of tomorrow’s cares.

I will always
Keep you safely
In my arms.

As I hug you,
I will gaze into
Your diamond eyes.

Then I’ll whisper
Tender secrets
To your soul.

Through the twilight,
Let this slow dance
Keep us wrapped in love
‘Til the morrow
Brings a new day
Filled with hope.
