Someday Soon Inspired by “Someday Soon” by David Benoit
I long for a moment or two,
In indigo sky,
To dance in the starlight with you
And feel what it means to fly.
Someday soon,
As the morning
Blossoms anew,
We’ll find another secret,
Tucked in a rainbow treasure,
Meant just for me and you.
Awaken the amber of sun
While still at my side,
And rise in a day just begun
To share in a blissful new ride
Lock away your cares
In a sunbeam,
Toss out the key,
Glide on a breeze of laughter,
Soar with the wings of caring, and
Live in the air of love.
If you’re asking yourself
“What else in life is new?”
You’ll find how much that
Blessings gained and lessons learned
Can transform even you.
I never could find, in a poem,
Or painting, or tune,
A way to describe you – my home –
For now, I am silent, but know
Someday soon,
We’ll share again
Joy in a breeze of laughter,
Flown with the wings of caring, and
Life in the air of love.

When I read a poem such as this, I'm thankful that God in Heaven knew what he was doing when he created Man & Woman...and as well the pure sacred love of a spouse who is truly in love. Blessings, Holly
