My wife loves to garden. She works at it tirelessly. That is what inspired this poem.

Poem Artwork

I watch her work in the garden, planting flowers and home grown vegetables and such.

She doesn’t mind getting her hands dirty and yet her hands feel soft and gentle to the touch.

She plants tomatoes and peas and even some corn but she truly loves her garden of flowers.

She doesn’t seem to mind the heat and will work at it for hours.

What comes from her toil is a beautiful sight that anyone is welcome to behold.

There are flowers of red, yellow, blue, pink and some are a beautiful gold.

She keeps working, watering, plodding and digging out any weeds that grow

And she will keep the garden going until the first signs of snow.

This is only one of the things that I love about this woman of mine.

She is gentle, caring, compassionate and loving and as she grows older she simply gets better, just like a vintage wine.

Your wife loves to tend to her veggies and flowers and produce good fruits for you to enjoy and to show off her flowers to family and friends who come to visit. Some enjoy just working with the earth and seeing good results come. The weeds take some work and it is well worth it. As you worship her she worships you and her gardens too. Her life is as she wants it to be. Give her lots of love for doing it.

Beautiful, Lew. The sight of someone making the world more beautiful through flowers is love at work. Eileen
