They are us.

Why do we not cherish them?

Why do we not protect them?

Why do we not love them?

Why are they not...?

We are teachers.

We are leaders.

We are their hearts.

We are their beginning.

When do we stop?

When do we start?

When will we believe?

When do we know?

What do we do when...?

What do if they are left...?

Children bring us to the brink of our future.

Children bring us to understanding.

Children bring us to the mirror.

Powerful and engaging piece, and even haunting considering the timing.

This is a powerful work,Bruce,that asks the hard questions,and it is especially appropriate now considering the recent slaughter(I know slaughter is a very harsh word, but that is what happened) in Connecticut.
