The White Dove

by Bruce Alan Humphrey — Read all 55 poems by Bruce Alan Humphrey

Monday, May 26, 2003

The white dove of peace is lost in darkness.

Wandering aimlessly, it drifts in the blackness.

No points of light it sees as it searches for the light of hope.

Hope is fleeting in the darkness.

Tears fall from its bright eyes of faith.

It worries about the world.

It worries about life.

It worries about home.

Faith in the future keeps it soaring, searching.

Winds of Time

The closing line of "The Dove of Peace" is the road to be on.

A wise poem striking responsible thoughts.

Long Blissful Life, Poet!

Faith in the Future keeps the Dove of Peace soaring? Quite beautiful a concept.
