Mortals we are, mortal we remain.

Masters of our lives and masters of our lies.

Full of soulful thought yet unmoved by sorrow.

Lives we touch stir the mind.

People we hurt cast us backward.

But how we grieve keeps us alive.

Brothers, sisters, sons and daughters.

We live together but apart from all.

Fooling others fools ourselves.

As life moves onward it dwells in the past.

It does not learn however it learns as it grows.

Death does not teach; death is a passage to life.
