The Quaking Aspen


Have you heard
the quaking aspen
like the early Christian
grows in groves:

patches of trees
closely knit homes
with common roots
strong network complex
love in action
support system
hope-sap replenishment.

The community
giving to the least
a helping hand
    the helpless
    the voiceless
    the weak
    the strong
    the poor in spirit
caring for its own
allowing no one
to stand alone.
