An attempt to show how ridiculous bigotry is

"Why did you do it?" the tribunal asked.
"He wasn't angry, armed or masked.
His friends all claim he didn't possess
An ounce of hatred or viciousness.
Why did you kill him? What did he do?
He was a Martian like us and you."

"Wait just a minute!" the defendant sneered.
"He was to be hated, beaten and feared.
