A poet's soul is always open.

Write the sound. Rhymes abound.
Rhythm found, all around.
Break the line. Cherry wine.
Misalign, it’s bitter brine.
Pretend to know. Let wisdom flow.
A velvet bow is all for show.
Sound profound. Do now be bound
Or you’ll be drowned before you’re crowned.
In a sea of fluff the awful stuff
Although it’s rough, they paid enough.
Forever learn. And wait your turn.
Let passion burn. Don’t yearn to earn.
You’ll pay some dues. Just wait for clues.
Then click red shoes to hear the muse.
Write just for fun. Reach for the sun.
And when you’ve won, the poem’s done.
