A passionate heart which becomes confused
causes such stress and unbearable pain.
A crimson crystal ball which could be used
to predict thunderstorms and future rain
should shine so brightly into love's blind eye.
Those who are not so confused wonder why.
Doubt is a torture no soul does deserve.
True love has no doubt. To the world it screams
while the confused ones ev'ry tingling nerve
shout out to say it is not what it seems.
As Casablanca's song, "As Time Goes By,"
reminded Bogey that Bacall must fly.
Even vast oceans can not separate
two who were destined by love's poignant fate.
Well depicted and subjects dealt developed to its best. "Confusion (A Sonnet)"
has paid its dues to Poetry, enriching The American Fine Letters.
