Until Death Do Us Part...

by Tom Kitt — Read all 95 poems by Tom Kitt

We are One and all that is energy attacks our completeness. This is the natural way of co-dependency. The key to safe passage through the minefields of energetic karma lies in the knowledge of who we are. The objective of life is to become who we are and until the dynamic of universal oneness is learned and understood all activity will continue in self-defeating cycles. As energy divides and sub-divides the objective darkens. But, when we know what is eternally true we will be empowered to remain on center no matter what level of distraction comes to bear. Marriage, in awareness, is as a bird in flight to the heart of love. Marriage, without awareness, cuts the possibility as both defer to a lower level that continues to fraction as children are born. With awareness, all is seen as process and, no matter how many children, all will participate in the great gathering; the outer experience will gradually move to the inner as the process of love engages. Love is eternal - it is who we are when we are not deluding ourselves. Love always knows what to do but when it is contained it loses the ability to fly free. This containment is a socal disease that keeps us reduced and under control. We must come to learn that, it is not so much what we are actually doing, as how we think about what we are doing, that makes all the difference. In due awareness we must rise in marriage to unity.

The following poem is a comment on the dangers of institutionalized love.

Until Death Do Us Part...

Until death do us part...
Fear steals the heart, rips it apart
Too much license for love to depart
In death, love fills the heart.

This kind of defeat is a bartered retreat
Ivory towers to defend most discreet
Traditions abound that feed this deceit
Love forced to grovel at the Conspirator’s feet.

Until death do us part...
An offence to the heart
Prison cells set apart, numbered in line
In death, love fills the heart.

Love is reality - not a containment
Not a trapping to be bartered and tamed
Love is the completion of all we can be
Love will reward if it’s made free.

Until death do us part...
A dart to the heart
Restricts the flow for flowers to grow
In death, love fills the heart.

This universe is a moving feast
Always replenishing - this mortal beast
Never a moment that is the same
Much may be similar, but never the same.

Until death do us part...
Blocks the flow for wisdom to grow
Limits the freedom that Love must know
In death, love fills the heart.

Stop a stream - kill its dream
No more perfection bursting to reveal
That death is the reason the world comes alive:
Constant death is a birthing wheel.

Until death do us part...
This control must come apart
A stake through the heart
In death, love fills the heart.

Containing love is the root of disease
Feeds on traditions that socially please
Define and control, refine and seek gold
Love chokes on this need to own.

Until death do us part...
An evil design to confuse what is real
Death is occurring as instants reveal
Death to the ego releases Love's stream.

We are projections of a singular whole
We defend the images we chose to own
And so, a demon is born to rule
This demon lives through the images alone.
