One can always hope that our special someone will find their way back to us, but dwelling on it will simply drive us insane. I think the most difficult ones to accept are the ones who went away and we never knew why. The lack of closure often keeps hope alive in our heart when we should be moving on with our life. Who hasn't found themselves in this place at some point in their life? Sometimes hope can be our cruelest enemy and sometimes the miracle happens and we see them walking up our drive smiling with all of their heart. A beautiful poem of longing and hope, Eileen.
