I long to kiss your rugged face To tell you I adore your eyes To snuggle in your arms embrace To feel your breath as you exhale Thrill to the vibrations between us Like low thunder in the distance Desire igniting our own lightning Arousal causing ebb and flow Our heartbeats keeping pace The shivers when I hear your voice
This scenario I long to tell you of That I can only describe as love Plays over and over in my mind It happens whenever I think of you And I think of you all the time These thoughts so truly sublime They permeate all my dreams As if no one exists besides you Often I can't help but wonder Do you feel the same as I do?
Whoever you are...

Sorry folks, but I know who Creator is and revere Him too much to write like this about Him;-)

This is a good write about a fantasy lover, or friend, or companion, made even better by your creative execution Eileen.
Someone to share life's dailiness with, and someone who will accept you for who you are, at all times, and in all seasons, in sickness and health, for better or for worse, until death do you part.
Dearly beloved ...

Ah if we all could only know our true soulmate...what a wonderful and more harmonious place the world would be Minx! I could really relate to this ...simply beautiful emotions, meter and descriptions...sigh. Imp x
This is a lovely poem about longing -- there is a man somewhere out there asking the very same questions, in almost the same way, and it is you he's speaking to ...Love will find YOU, sweet Eileen. When you least expect it, too.

CJ

Longing is one of the beautiful expressions of romantic poetry. I agree with George on this one Eileen.

It seems you are envisioning godly God as your beloved!! Straight to the top, the best of the best, the creator of us all; and ever seemingly elusive! Wow, you have great tastes and will never be let down!
And, we can share and still be satisfied with spiritual fruits!
Love and Hugs Suzie xoxoxo :-D

I loved him. At age twelve he touched my heart with his music. At age twenty he captured my heart when our eyes met as he sat on a stage and sang Four months later, he fractured my heart with his refusal to allow us to stay together. At age seventy
Love is universal and not limited to the most perfect among us. In this collection of romantic short stories and poetry, love comes to those who are decidedly imperfect, who possess very real human flaws, scars, and challenges. Awaiting us as we are.
beautiful write..
