Poem Artwork

With  irridescent gossamer wings
one lovely dragonfly  sings a song so
soft and sweet butterflies  flutter by to
listen as the sun in flaming farewell
glistens, and fireflies gather to warm the worthy assemblage of  the Lepidopterous
family~ as one of the  beautiful green gypsy
moths prepares to  give a message of hope
to all the antennaed friends in cosmic places~
that are not adorned with human faces~

It is that  maniacal madness of  man will not
destroy them~ as the Earth brings destruction
upon itself, some of the lesser winged insects,
such as mosquitoes, flies, fleas, and others will
bring more and more deadly viruses to the human race than they could ever bring to the insect world Upon hearing this the gathering expressed it's sadness for the plight of man, then began to flit about pairing up for a variety of dances while the moon, became golden, fairies and elves, appeared and stardust in a kaleidescope of colors luminesced as it was spread among all the happy little flitterbugs

~Meanwhile on earth~ man in all of his  brilliance ~ continues in ignorance as it wars against itself destroying everything in its path~ living under  the illusion that they can handle anything~ while they play their virtual reality games~

etw~

Eileen, this is profound & prolific from beginning to end...don't know if man will ever be able to live peace, there are two many who want to rule and lead. This is a great poem.

Very true words you write for us today Eileen, I do believe that man is slowly destroying our earth and it is a shame. Thank you.

E.T. absolutely breathtaking in it's totallity, so rich in elegant truth and prose, You had me wrapped up from beginning to end. You certainly hit home with all that rich beauty we are about to destroy, and our life along with theirs, the arrogance of men is overwhelming, you said it so well! My heart is with you!Jasmin Horst

i believe we are living in times when civilization is coming to terms with his own inherent nature in order to evolve and develop ... unfortunately much turmoil and heartache will prevail as it gives birth to itself again ...

interesting and nicely formulated poem ...

It made me think that we are the insects and that the world will keep on turning long after we are gone. Also made me think that in the grander scheme, wars need to be fought, or the oppressed shall never taste freedom. Great write.

Man is so distant from their reality games that it's explosive and we are the fodder for their toys.
Beautiful poetry with wise words for all mankind.

Susan

Jerry this isn't about any one war or political party, it's about humanities inability to find the proper perspective on how to live in peace, and it is true that insects that carry diseases are more likely to destroy us than we are them. That may sound far fetched to many, but it has been documented...If you think the leaders of this world are doing a good job then you and I have different perspectives.

Behold, there shall be a new Heaven and a new Earth...I don't exactly remember where it is in the Bible, but it's there...will our planet we call home be destroyed by us or by God? Hard to say: we're doing a bang up job of it already. Won't take much for God to finish the job. Thought provoking excellence, well done, Eileen!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I wouldn't call what is happening these days "virtual reality games," Eileen, and I doubt the poor bastards over there would call it that either. I understand where you are coming from . . . Just question the method you used to get there . . . First of all I doubt man is capable of destroying the world. I do believe that is a job left up to someone with a higher power . . .

As we continue to evolve, humanity finds many of God's creations truly problematic. Yet, for soooo many years, they have balanced what God intended for earth. Now, people find them to be pests and want them destroyed. Who/what is next? You? Me?
