Written for a friend that lost their partner

Here in this sadness, I call my home I am now solitary.

My happiness completely seized, by his lurid thirst.

We were happy, a time, years, or only just momentary.

Maybe I was portraying, faithfully blinded at first.

Should I consider his infidelity all my fault and sin?

Which road in life between us did I fail to begin?

Should I have forgiven him, more then thrice?

Then my lost love would not be the ultimate price.

Bewildered, beguiled, my heart broken, betrayed.

I shall not let him distort my soul down to degrade.

I shall look ahead to the clouds in the sky beyond.

The beauty of nature in others to find a new bond,

Not to forsake my future happiness, and live in dread,

I shall forgive, focusing on sunshine of romance ahead.
