Ghost Writer’s Whisper

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Dew the mist of wraith words feather the weather of metered knots tied to phantom poet recital of the Phantom of the Ghost Writers that seeds the future by sprouting minds to exist in sentences that ripple the rhyme in time.

I say so many negate poetry for poetry is a Declaration Of Independence that follows no master trump card.

Picture POETS with her Captain My Captain, who write poetry across America's trails and highways. She is at an Auto Doctor in Austin, and I miss My Poets Oh POETS ride.

Ghost Writer’s Whisper

I am poetry pentameter rhyme,

In what was present, To Be found no more.

Birth flight being overcome bye death plight

That everyone passes on poetry.

Reading words, being present tense bookworm

Flourished aftermath, blooms past sentences.

Syllables meter seeds from yester year,

Memorial graven lines recital.

Fading ink stained solemn memories

Etched in permanent pain engraved marks

Bear what was - recycled all over time

Haunting timeframe presence bare subconscious.

That what was long lost - long ago echoes.

A poet wraith in the wrath of worn paths

Torn inside out tattered remnant parchment,

Where time incarnate ghost writer’s whisper.
