I Still Love You Counterpunch

When does love stop?

Saturday, May 7, 2016

Poem Artwork

I Still Love You Counterpunch

Tick tock jab - drip drop punch

Counterpunch gut bending down

Kneels to prayers that weep alone

Laying prone - upon a cradle position.

Rap a tap cadence repeats hurt feelings

That dig, dig, dig - so deep - you lose it

In the depth that nails word scars – open.

Wounds that fester rankle chokeholds.

What was, what was - no more, no more

The soul whimpers cold chill shivers.

Sprit stripped from what was pure love,

Shredded torn tattered scorn emotions.

Bare fibers needing to grasp the last thread

To weave hope in the desire to live forward.

But thorns of love keeps pricking the heart

That one again kneels, to plead therapeutics.

That once broken the heart leaves love’s scars.

Where upon a memory Tick tock jab

The heart takes a drip drop beat con amore punch,

I Still Love You Counterpunch.
