God Bless Camelot’s Echo

Dream has gone so far, from April 4, 1968,

Where upon a Memphis balcony,

A shot rang out heard around America

That echoed around a world wounded,

America’s King of Heart, Dreamer was dead.

That upon a June 6 in that same year,

A Kennedy met the same fate as MLK,

Where upon a November, five years earlier,

Shots rang out in Dallas, to take our President.

Camelot, Camelot, do hear those bullets echo.

Fifty years built up America working poor roots.

That in a flash Electoral vote has set America back.

Where a kid grown old remembers Conservative 50’s.

That these three K’s fought KKK white supremacy

These men fought for United States To Be United.

Today in 2017 a President elect attacks a Civil Rights Icon

That walked the marches of police dogs and fire hoses.

Americans being forced to the back of the bus segregation.

Being forced to use Colored urine smelling bile restrooms.

How any civilized Christian nation could have a White God.

But there was a German God that decimated Jews and Gypsies.

A Russian God that exterminated millions of nonconformists.

Today “We The People” have an iconic American playing Supreme.

That he is an attack mongrel that divides this Constitutional America.

Seems some Republican American Support – Putin (RAS-Putin) interests.

One remembers - JFK standing up to the Iron Boot of Russian tyranny.

One remembers - how many assassinations traced back to the Soviets.

One remembers - the nuclear isotope London poisoning of a Putin critic.

One is reminded – the cost of Free Speech Press Freedom and Liberty.

One is reminded – every MLK holiday of a “I have a Dream,” 50 years ago.

So much has happened and just like that a trump thumping, we lose it all.
