Once Upon A Rhyme
Once Upon a Rhyme,
There was a Pied Piper Bard,
Fingers alight mellow yellow verse.
Troubadour, who did delight many folk
Songs adrift magical touched words.
Where upon full moon beams
He would Camelot transform into
A Princely Frog with smiley crown,
Where upon the midnight swoon,
He would seek out his Cinderella.
Oh, did he dance, and dance, pure Poetry,
Amongst brush strokes in soft pastels,
Amidst rainbow prism prancing hues
Among blue bonnets, yellow sunflowers,
Wild Flower sensual fields - butterfly set sails.
I found the poem enchanting except that it didn't live up to its title by rhyming.
