Stoke Love’s Embers
Forked prong, tempered steel, love thrust.
Dig thy words aflame, thy heart’s embers
Charcoal remnants, adrift love, ask me naught.
Stoke memories amid love me petal, ash remains.
What is love stoked bears hearth’s crackling blaze,
Points that dig contention with veiled feigned feelings.
That hide scads bard barb’s left behind lover’s quivers.
Cactus porcupines, dug deep pricked quills - never come out.
Thorn prick wounds from a Perfect Rose, plead petals empty.
Set aflame burning love letters, amid love song pitch timbre.
Ashes to ashes, dew compost solemn, composition re embers.
That sometimes smolder, alone awaiting, what is not there.
Hopeless Hope for a Miracle Phoenix prays, “Stoke Love’s Embers.”
