Poem Artwork

Who RIP Here

Name like many others,

RIP in place here.

Stenciled with birthday,

And death do us depart date.

Sharing time’s wind worn fade -

“With Loving memories.”

But alas these are time’s grave yard deposits

Lucky ones, manicure mowed, here and there.

Alas some lost to weeds, imbedded in tree roots.

Cracked headstones, lay ground flattened long ago.

Who RIP Here? Having no DNA material existence.

Death Nullified Alone, amid skeletal frame lost deposits.

Long ago decayed, fore evermore ‘n more non-existence.

No sentence of existence, “but” says one, was once present.

To Be something, once upon time, wears passing grave mark.

Who RIP Here? God only knows, there birth to death journey.

RIP from conception of humanity to civilization’s Apocalypse.

Dusk thou depart, oh dust in thy blood, dew dye parch stains

To bleach away, being decay barren, silent still skeletal frames.

Resolute Ingrain Procreate, thy living life sentence proclamation.

RIP thy heart open, alight emotions, bare lifetimes future legacy.

Who RIP Here? Why dye Poet Tree that still writes thee Uni-Verse.

Art thou a walking grave mark, blank head, supposition suppository.

With only a birth and death date desolate deserted dire deposition.

Who RIP Here? Resounding Inspirited Poets (Like YOU).

For so many, the only contribution made is carved on those gravestones and DNA passed down if they had any progeny. For some, it is the only thing that exists that tells us of the owner's life at all.

Great summation, David. Caught me off guard you clever man. Ok... 'DNA'... Death Nullified Alone? I always thought it meant deoxyribonucleic acid. Now... about that 'supposition suppository'... How the heck does that work? (-: A great flow of words here, Poet. Enjoyed. r
