Dusk Thy Shades Dye

Dew mist thy eyes amid the pastels of sunsetting hues

Poem Artwork

Dusk Thy Shades Dye

Dust thy, wondering eye lashes,

Amidst dye, wandering shadows.

Brush stroke, thee heart lit shades,

Pastel felt, stoking light, heartfelt flashes.

Gust thy, mind frames, adrift nature stages,

Amid dye, wind’s aim, churning alight pages.

Sunshades, dew moist tears, amid Poet terse,

Sunlight fingers, sensory lines, vivid amidst verses.

Just thy swords, as words justified, penetrating souls,

Adjust dye, quill breathe, to feather one’s depth whole.

Nightingale, do tweet thee rich, dye melodious songfest,

Nightlife, do awake robust, to then hoot –

Thee owl’s night song.

I was so caught up in the photo like you were when you wrote this poem about it.

Wonderful metaphors, David! I so love the bird in the picture with her two children under her wings.

I found myself seeing the "picture" you have painted with your metaphors. Rather mysterious as well..............

Love ya!
