Silent Silenced Mirror

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

When we polish, a mirror, what do we see? Do Polish Mirror polish different?

Sunday, August 5, 2018

Poem Artwork

Silent Silenced Mirror

Polish paste - past due.

Time rubs on grime.

Swirls encircle move meant,

Wounded to words,

Bound to mend mirrors.

Container silent in retroflection

Light shadows revolve around,

Sharp shifting abound wound

Sharp focused backgrounds

Bend distorted within glass layers

Exterior builds up,

Lime over time.

Smeared alight,

Ghost blurred images,

Wherein time,

Dew awaits

Windex baptisms

Squeaky clean confessional.

Rub a dub sole

Being – cleansed

To reflect back on,

One being renewed

To Be this Self Polished

Rejuvenated Reflection.
