Mask Thy Presence
Made indentions wears worn, adrift wrinkled time.
Tick tock rusts arteries amid clogged clock timepieces.
What was layered, in what was, what was yester
Day folded over, and over, yet again, glued together.
Mask age amongst youth retro rewound reflections.
Distortion plays memories wound around, round turns.
Attuned to the past, one whispers tunes, as by gone years.
Rock ‘n roll young, now raps a tap, them ole blues notes.
Make dew, vanishing cream that screens aloud grey mirrors.
Smooth skin - youthful tight, now wears loose wrap potholes.
I am thy shadow having weathered wavy waves – amid rip tides.
Rest in pieces, weaving wry trials, yet to be navigated upon.
Mama, daddy is long gone, and it seams, so are you now.
Its my time to look back ward, in what was, what is now
Accomplished applique layers sown old, over and over.
Tattered dye tears, in could of, would off, should offering.
Mark my words, do bark aloud, moan expanding Poet Tree rings.
Wilt thou own, falling leaves adrift pages of time, that traveled afar,
Or will thee words decompose amongst grave mark flame cremations?
Mire the possibility that your name is all that is left empty, on a branch.
Mast thy master sails that billows dye mainsail writing word stains.
Wordsmith dew take the rein, and whip up emotional poetic lines.
Ply thy lines to furrow today in what will be remembered in the morrow.
Further more, and forever more, lift upward - Your Purpose of Existence.
