Mirror Thee Villanelle Amidst Negative Positive Switches

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

This may be a double Villanelle gone bonkers inside our mirrors.

You may not see it, but the words on the bottom of the picture, needs a mirror reflection to be seen left to right.

In my comment it may come out different than intended. I meant here to say, here is another similar poem. I did not meant it to be sarcastic.

Poem Artwork

Mirror Thee Villanelle Amidst Negative Positive Switches

Patter drop, totter down, winter tock, night frown negativity

Film negative depression develop positive impressions

Pitter drip, teeter up, spring time ticks, light smile positivity

Rein watercolors to contrast canvas white with introspection

Mirror top-down easy, mirrors do switch minds right left dimension

Patter drop, totter down, winter tock, night frown negativity

Hue day, to night season light year comprehension retroflection

English writes left to right - Yiddish opposite left-sided sessions

Pitter drip, teeter up, spring time ticks, light smile positivity

If one looks in mirrors, we switch perceptive relativity

Self-portraits require positive prints, left-leaning support backboard

Patter drop, totter down, winter tock, night frown negativity

Does one end the launch or take fork ingested creativity

Pitch Black - does one need light to Taste Poetry morsel digestion?

Pitter drip, teeter up, spring time ticks, light smile positivity

To get somewhere, we take stairs upward, reverse stairways go downward

Transpose these lines - below - throughout villanelle does it change content

Patter drop, totter down, winter tock, night frown negativity

Pitter drip, teeter up, spring time ticks, light smile positivity

Villanelle Mirror – rorriM ellenalliV

Note:

How does the two change? Why does it change? Does something in light and at night change time perceptions? Are paintings beside daylight, and alongside night-light, upon the same place seen different? What perception changes? What if you painted one with shades between the two, would each be panes of stained glass, seen at different times of an 24 hour day? So, it be inside mind’s tints, contrasts, our minds change the Seasons.

Look at it closely and you will find it is all reversed, it has been flipped over.
Another Meaningless poem

Kiss “MY” VET Villanelle

Oh Camelot, thy Art a Knight of youth, upon a velvet dream.
Wry knot knock, spry Poet Tree - Bark naught To Bee, a spry limb again
Procrastination wrought, fraught wrinkles knead massive vanishing cream

Ambrosial mist bliss, honey dew lips, amidst pastel creamery
Reign rhymester drain elocution that reins within whip's drip drop rain
Procrastination wrought, fraught wrinkles knead massive vanishing cream

Does time, seed past fertile - present - awaits fruition future seams
Birth canal, snipped chord, beginning foretold by clairvoyance crane
Oh Camelot, thy Art a Knight of youth, upon a velvet dream.

Mirror, what am I, To Be, the frog, or toad participle beam
Mirror, why does your silver crack up, amid screams, aghast slip streams
Procrastination wrought, fraught wrinkles knead massive vanishing cream

Knock, Knock, Who is there? Yesterday. Can you come back tomorrow theme
Three Camelot K-Ings slain Knight's, still weave sorrow, long ago veins
Oh Camelot, thy Art a Knight of youth, upon a velvet dream.

Why am I looking back on prime - faded images recording esteem
Love found, lost then found, - to be walking alone down memory lane
Oh Camelot, thy Art a Knight of youth, upon a velvet dream.
Procrastination wrought, fraught wrinkles knead massive vanishing cream

I gotta give you credit for putting so much work into this. It's kind of like building a Mercedes from scratch with only you doing it. But I don't get what all the effort is for. A meaningless poem?

BTW, while looking at the photo, I noticed the words at the bottom are backward. However, the Franklin in the picture appears to be oriented correctly. Perhaps it should be reversed, too? ;-)
