Spring Of The Bark (Free Form of Sonnet)

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Writing away and seen I has four lines and five lines. Thought a second, made four and four and one, needing another one to make a free form sonnet. Next came a Syllable counter, and behold most were 12 syllables. Cut and snip, no not down there, and I had a Free Form Sonnet. Shall it happens to rhyme I shall faint.

But wait I need another quatrain, well anyway, I am done quatrain-ed out for a second, minute maybe hour, will it attack me again?

People want to judge one poem, one word, one thing, to say who you are; a damn Liberal, a darn Progressive . Duhh, have you looked at my weathered $100 Ben image that God Bless America gave me.

We are giving certain traits and mine are NUTS - Never Under Tyranny Surrender - my WordsWorth Poet Tree.

Alas maybe not a sonnet but something else.

Spring Of The Bark

Listless voyager, dost sea, awaits its sailor

Whence Earth vibrations awaits the spring of the bark

Wrought seed cometh to ripen amid waning winds

Caterpillar cocoon tie wraps Venus trap night.

Vagabond voyage is knot the spring of the bark

Bard fledgling meadowlark nightingale, do winged flight

Troubadours hark the bark adrift minstrel moon strings

Tis poet's promenade mid Midnight cactus blooms

Hear yea, dynamic harmonics bear symphonies

Resonate tranquil melodic balm melodies

When each one feels universal understanding

Spark United States Patriotic HeArtMosphere.

Balladeer words trumpeth thy theme of courtly love

Lyrical poets let us twitch the Spring Of The Bark

Note: Free form sonnet, I do not think it rhymes, just in its flow of thoughts

I am wondering if a bark can carry the poet over the rough waters of redemption.
