Knot To Be Poet Tree 2

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

So many knots built over-time, yet I need to rhyme some more attempts on fallen branches.

If I get to 105, maybe by then, one branch of verse will stick around.

Knot To Be Poet Tree 2

Knot, Knot so many multi layered Knots
One wears scars, like mass placed freckles
Rings abound, around one, then another
They then bark amid seasons ringing full moons
Girth of time winds upward spiraling branches.

Time forks attuned to pitchfork divergent convergence
As winds spring surges, as time rebounds, amid resilience
That one can bend, but never break that inner cry spirit.
Wherein what goes one way, must eventually come back
To teeter totter in place, this dull repeat reverberation echo.

So many wants in life forking on decisions intersections
One wanders, which one to take, as they pass - fly by
That when you finally make up your wayward mindset
The opportunity will now be, only this dead end roadblock.
Oh mirror, please reflect forward, not backward passages.

Knock Knock, who is a famous fraught pronounced poet?
Knot I, fir thy fame whisper, was felled down long ago silent
What is left lone, walks alone, amid isolated solitude whimpers
Youth sprig that be stunted, as this sucker - drained of hope
Those lost limbs, dew decay under metered rhyme foot prints
Amidst yellow parchment, whose ink fades, age bleached.

Wrest naught yea on miniscule laurels of sordid mediocrity
Trust US, we will promote success, is naught, To Be Truth skewers.
Tongue-tied lies amid the Ides of March in fork tongued promises
Robin Hood Barons, who take, take, adrift redwood power structures
Bears another scar mended knot, where leaves, have fallen barren.
Knot, Knot, who is there, but To Be Poet Tree stark naked.

Hidden in your verses amid wordplay of extraordinary creativity, are profound statements revealing the truth of the matter when it comes to important events. Like those revealed in the last stanza. I will not mistake the difficulty of a knot impeding the smooth transition of the woodwork for the real thing.
