Thank You For Your Service Rant

(A seriies of rants venting in the form of Poetry that I use to relief the frustration from within that would otherwise implode. I have found that writing Poetry is thearaputic and brings about calm. As an American Vietnam War Veterans I thought I had won the right to write poetry in my home. That is not so, because I was told by my former employer that they had banned me from writing Poetry at any time. To do so would have destroyed me from the inside out. Soon after that firm Terminated me for Poetry. I am not making this up. So I was forced into early retirement, Terminated but determinated to write Poetry on my time on my dime. I am sure you can Judge me guilty for being a Veteran Democracy Poet, but I an also a Veteran American HeArtMosphere POET, who vents, who rants, and must questions Why?}

Four in Series so far - working on fifth it really helps to let out what American is today.

Series 1
Forever And More
Are American Pawns
Set over to serve for those
who never do - BUTTS
Who say to the American Public
We need American troops
Here, there, Ever - Where
Over seas and every dale
But excuse me and my family
We have automatic deferments
For any over seas deployments

Series 2
Bang before an Austin American Flag
Inside outside VA Outpatient Centers
All a-Cross America Veterans give up
Another domino then another falls silent
We will never know their names
Like the homeless, they will be silenced
Never To Be, Knots on Pine Tree thunder
Falling in an American human forrest called
Thank You For Your Service

Series 3
Yes, do shed a tear torn awash America
That those stripes they had
Now be adorned the Stars and Stripes
As an American Vietnam War Vetersn
I want to grasp a small America Flag
And take to one knee and bow
To pray to an unknown Veteran
And ask America "Why, WHy, WHY."
Thank You For Your Service"

Series 4
The same politicians who rally every day
We need troops here, there, every where
On every Continent, Island and spec of land
But they then say, but not me, nor my famiy
But we will let pawns play within OUR Game
We are America's President Precedent Priciples
We are wanna working bees Conchienceous objectors
Those 5 time deferments in those, who could afford college
We are Doctor excuses of athma, bone spurs, male impotence
But we want to be YOUR White or Black King of Domino Chess
Who can move this Young sacrificial pawn here, no over dale.
Timber the Thunder, there goes another expendable pawn over seas
Oh where, oh where can he be, no not here, maybe in here,
Oh there he is, inside an enemy tunnel, rested in pieces
The body bags of pawn pieces, tossed arm here, leg there
Thank You For Your Service from Your King Queen of Peaces
Now here is, where we really need troops, looking away

If it were not for our Vets, that "former employer" would be working in some sweatshop somewhere 'over there'!! I come from a military family and, yes, thank you for your service!!

Love ya!

Thank you for your vents and rants. I am not thanking you for the service you were forced into in the name of making America safe for democracy again. There is truth in what you write and I'm also glad that it gives you therapy for what you have suffered.
