Poem Artwork

Choice

There was a single door
One walked into it
To see and ponder two doors
Went to go back
Butt only seeing two doors
What the heck fifty/fifty
They opened it
Then was slept in
To find four doors
One of four - 25%
Still good odds
Eight, sixteen, then thirty two
Now facing impossible odds
But wait, there is a window
Why did One, not see it before
One slowly cracked it open
Got sucked inside
To see and ponder two windows
Went to go back
Butt only seeing two windows
What the heck fifty/fifty
They opened it
Then was slept in
To find four windows
One of four 25%
Still good odds
Eight, sixteen, then thirty two
Again facing impossible odds
But wait there is a door
And a hatch in the floor
Be damned if One takes that door
With a sigh one opened the hatch
An hourglass started unlatching
As the larger orifice
Suffices it fell into smaller One’s
One almost gone
Left with a lone thought
What if One
Would have taken that door

Note: In rooted life, one has a single trunk line reaching out , it expands Too Bee forked up, one way passages, wherein we branch out to blossom ONE’s existence, ONE must then seed Mother Earth with the future generation in germinating Poet Trees. Note to the Note: To populate Earth, people use another word that rhymes within hot passion to fork.

An interesting look at growth. Also interesting how two people having offspring can quickly multiply into many generations. Actually something we have to guard against. Like overpopulation of humans stressing the world's ability to provide everyone with enough to live on.
