Poem Artwork

One Dost Naught Stand Alone

Be-HE-mouth, I to eye - stands aloud-alone
Friends, family, and foe - beget be-gone
Bygone era bee perfection’s imperfection
Gloating self-esteem bares pure impotence
Amid studded appearance, Too Bee deflated.

Mountain, be I lone respect, crumble-tumbles
Pawn dependable people - be thump expendable
Royalist survival instincts be, then hollow caste
Awaiting death knell, being set upon the pyre
To save I, as in me – alone, others burn at stake.

State meant sizzle crisp victims, all around prophet
Politician’s, eyes dost standalone - pawns be, below me
Eye be infallible to oversight, no one questions, I as me.
Hear “Timber,” another domino, falls into other – yet another.
Manmade tower of power losing its support structure –
Will fall.

Some wise words hidden in this worldly, wordy, wordplay on the downfall of the puppet of power.
