Eye Dyed America’s Words Worth

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

This is for those Americans and American Corporation who do not support Democracy, or are afraid to stand up for those who have fought for it worldwide.

I find it hard that America will fight for Freedom of Navigation, yet will not stand up for Freedom of Democracy worldwide. Democracy can coexist with Socialism in peace.

Eye Dyed America’s Words Worth

My eyes has seen the splendor of Democracy
Writing the winds of words worth dyeing pride
For my eyes have spread thy Liberty Eagle talons
Defending the values of these United States.

Eye am the Spirit of the Republic in Democracy
Eyes ingrained as We the People are true Patriots
From conception till death do US depart Earth
With Red, White, and Blue flag covered coffins.

Here-there, we have been sent over sees in Democracy
Every-where overseas, we do serve our country proud
As the Draft of Time and Again, our Republic does state,
“Go forth young guardians, The World Needs Democracy.”

As Veterans hear “Thank You For Your Service” - Democracy
Becomes Republic denied, by those, who stayed safely home.
Yet in their Battle Cry For The Republic, be more Pawns of War
Who will do their bidding in wraith graves of wrath – Democracy.

Note: America is the American Vietnam War Veteran, a treason to deny Poetry Is Democracy. Did one serve overseas, for those who stayed at home; we now again ask for others to serve for their families Republic, be RIGHT. Neigh says the Night Mare that rages war forevermore-evermore, who now be I, be me a lone Republican. This Veteran has learned, what speaking out and questioning does from one’s own Home Sweet Home does. You are Terminated for Poetry is Democracy.

Democracy should mean equal opportunity and equal responsibility. As a nation, our military has become, not a democratic force, but a mercenary one. The poor and mostly disenfranchised now serve for the money promised which appears to them to be better than their chances in the job market. But it is always been that way when even the draft was unfair allowing certain privileged people like George W. Bush and Donald Trump to avoid military, largely because of their wealth and influence.

You certainly deserve better treatment than you got from an ungrateful German owned company after serving like so many GIs did in World War II to free Germany from tyranny.
