The Circle Center Of Conscience

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Michelangelo, Columbus, and most Great Thinkers have long been feared for their enlightened minds that conformists have tried to put inside containment jars.

But can a butterfly live beyond a cocoon, inside a closed jar? Since the beginning of time's rhyme, world leaders and politicians have been putting people in ideology jars, but like a Chinese poet, the verse must - Fly Free Spirited,

The Circle Center Of Conscience

Seeded so deep within, one cannot fathom it
That Mark Twain gauges mind’s depth sense
In bottom less core imagination incubation
Exists this UniQue UniVerse sub-conscience

Seeded inside birth’s womb mind development
Lays that UniQue livelong independent journey
Circle Center amid birthright liberated heartbeats
Amid infancy adolescence, To Be parent nurtured.

Too Bee, is naught to follow, all your life - subordinate
Au Contraire, thy Thinker mentors, will cut umbilical cords
That tether conformity shackles, which bear soul constraints
To set Free, thee enlightened spirit, upon universal pathways.

Thy Fork, Bee too challenge, being diversity cognitive awareness
With abilities taught, and learned, to advance one, moving forward
Knowing when, to retreat momentarily, to analyze potential problems
That failure, is only failure, when you never again – Will move forward.

Civilization that molds, holds back humanity amid containment camps
Using reeducation redactions to spirit silence with advancement clamps
Will stifle stagnate degeneration spiraling down decimation destruction
For does not, a Free Bird, sing better tunes, attuned to its surroundings.

The Circle Center Of Conscience, Be for YOU to find on YOUR OWNED Terms
The Circle Center Of Conscience, Bee UniQue path of self-awareness Principles
The Circle Center Of Conscience, BE YOUR Destiny to fulfill in life’s living sentences
The Circle Center Of Conscience, TOO BEE the grain, seed, sprout, bark, branches
That leaves the Pages of Time in THEE NAME.
For YOU ARE: The Circle Center Of Conscience

You made me think of all the unknown and unsung people who challenged the status quo and were summarily killed or emasculated so their light never left the civilizing shroud that covered it. I believe if we could examine history from the unread or unpublished, we would discover a whole different world of ideas and accomplishments that were stolen by the rich and powerful.

Without the insight of 20/20 hindsight, we will never know who they were. What they did. They are totally unknown to us, erased from history by the powers that be. A warning for the rest of us today.
