Love’s Perfect Reflection.

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

How does one reflect back on love with its many thorns and treasures? Is there a perfect reflection for love, or like live we make it work, because we need it in our lives?

Vertical and Horizontal forms below.

Love’s Perfect Reflection

Quake be moonlight reflection, amidst raw tear drops
A gist water falling feelings, rippling pond’s rip torn silk
Where starlight quivers, ebbs emotional wrought tides
One, then another, flash floods distorts love’s perfection.

What is love, upon a storm that whether why, then naught
Buds blossom flower, only to wilt crumble, before thee eyes
Can the fang’s venom, be removed, from dye Heart’s stains
Or will there be a permanent scar, to be scorned over time.

Why dost love pain thee so deep, veins collapse breathing
To and Fro, thy heart teeter tooters pitter patters to nail thee
Hear dye hails, in what was; gust whirlwinds inside, what be not
As dank gray clouds roll in, to forever erase -
Love’s Perfect Reflection.

The rose smells so sweet but has thorns. Usually, "As dank gray clouds roll in to forever erase -" Nay! Blow away! Emotion flows blood red from your pen, David.

Love ya!
