See Shore Sounds

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

What if, I could write a see shore line that would ripple, a page of rhyme? But alas, it is like a sand castle, awash the tide of time.

I wrote a line with twig
And the tide washed it,
to naught to be seen
Wrote this second line
Further up in receding tide
Sun dried it all up
And winds blew it
out to never to be seen
Third line was painted sign
Tried knot to be defeated
Darn if a hurricane came in
And blew it all to pieces
That is why it is important
To leave a lasting impression
In a lot of people’s
reoccurring minds.

See Shore Sounds

Soft serene surf, caressing light mellow winds
Serenading heart~beat, velvet finger - tip touches
Whence Poet Tree finds, thy rooted satin shore
Horizon insight, finding harmony’s sensual core
Tranquil residence, adrift peace full transformation.

We seek baptismal balance, a-midst water cleansing clarity
Buoyancy writing the verses tail, winding words tale
Abound cerebral currents, sashaying sense tenses
That permeate penetration of conscript composition
Where the vowels intertwine the - consonant orgasm.

Dew kiss, thy poetic lips, a gist magic lisp bard wry wands
Elevate prancing shoreline’s rip~rich rhapsody constellation
Biometric trans fixation perceptual conso(u)lation mitigation
Where thy grain composer, reigns on tide terse tempest torrents
Whence X static elocution enlightens - See Shore Sounds.

I have never seen a shore sound, but an oscillator will clearly do that for me. With the announcement that our poetry can be seen.

Your word manipulation and splicing leads me to thoughts of alliteration tongue twisters like… Sally sells sea shells she shucks by the seashore.

Your words begin to pleasure me, David. You have it going on! No "bees" in this one, I noticed!

Love ya!

Jane
