Two Sheets Dyeing In Side Me

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

In living life, sheets will comfort one, while they sleep sharing life's existence, dreaming between two sheets, and awake writing those thoughts from sheet to sheet.

Two Sheets Dyeing In Side Me

Two Sheets Dyeing In Side Me

Tie dyed stains bleed thy heart

Twisted amid dye HeArtBeat’s quiver

Alone I exist, Alone I be – ghastly wraith.

They say dew believe - Died Draft of War

Will end someday, somehow, someway.

I lay me down to sleep 12 to 16 hours

Between two sheets suffocating cold

Stiff I am, I am the wraith, amidst thy rhyme torn

Amid rein patch pockets of sunken ebbs.

God lay me to sleep for ever more than that

I NEED YOUR ARMS, To Be a poet’s cradle

Rock a Bye, Bye and Bye - TOO Sheets

Await, awaits.

Then two lines – BE~Come the coffin

Two Sheets
Dyeing In Side Me

Tie dyed stains
bleed thy heart

Twisted amid dye
HeArtBeat’s quiver

They say dew believe -
Died Draft of War

Will end someday
somehow
someway.

I lay me
