I've had so many birthdays alone without family and friends around that I hardly think of them at all except for occasional birthday wishes that come. I really don't think of the past on my birthday. I usually do it I usually do on any working day. My partner may make me a special meal, but that's about it. And that's really enjoyable. Much better than thinking bad thoughts of times past.
