Dead Democracy Poet Society

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

With totalitarian, autocratic governments killing poets, journalists, artists, thinkers, and alas Democracy, and its supporters. We have again accrued a new generation of Dead Democracy Poets in our Society.

Amid the Years, the Tears will come
Amidst happy Tears of Birth, besets sad Tears of Death

Why does it "seem" that HATE Unites US, while LOVE "seams" to divide US

Dead Democracy Poet Society

Hate those DD -
PS convolution
Poet block age
syndromes,

“Dodo-Diligence” Constipation;
a gist “Post-Scrumpton”
gas grasp
Fame
passing knot on Perfume
“butt” fraught Poetry
enflamed sorcery
Got to go
To Be screaming
I to eyes
ingesting habanero
poet hot deposits
That goes in one way
and must come out -
to meet paper
seated entrails

Ann-ual deposit
accrue DD’s -
deep depressions
seeping sordid wasteland
Pick-pocket tick-tock PS -
Postal Sublimation
transference recusal
wilts poetry
Listing grave minutes
amid quick sand seconds,
in stuck divagation wandering
Bee naught
withering live lines
be petrified stone’s
would off –
bee stiff dead poets.

Invincible be dye
invisible bard trickster
looking out side
self-imprisoned windows
Fairy tale
within a fairy tail
clipped insight
be dungeon make believe -
mire dearth
Versed lamb be
knock knot be-come
POET P-ewe follower
 cowering c-loner a-lone
Wrench inside Word-Worth
dew write
The Circle
The Center
The Compass
The Spokes
World-Wide
Word-Wise
amidst thy
Poet’s Wander Lust;
Bearing
Democracy Poetry Buds

Your wordsmithing in this piece was even better than before the way you described how the beauty of free expression, once digested turns into foul excrement was priceless.

Why is it that the tyrants who would try to seal poets words are so concerned with "political correctness" when behind the scenes they are rewriting school history books to make sure their vile transgressions of the past are whitewashed and made to look like glorious, patriotic achievements. George Washington was a slave owner who could never tell a lie. Lies.
