Winding Road To Oz

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Dew words on Sandcastle tides wash away, never to be seen again. But what if the tide was a bridge taking them to the other side.

Can a poet build a Sandcastle and send it, on a winding road to Oz,

Winding Road To Oz

Isolated
A Lone
Time moving in
Walls be claustrophobic
Whence testicles retract
Amid castrated Eunuch redaction
Void devoid - space vacuum
Cannot get up
Nor get it up
Secluded
Oh Too Bee So
Limp

Useless
Choke hold bare sheets
Knots naught not to be
Fetal position cries naught
Silent - wails storm thunder
Heart beats RIP hurling emotions
Wet sheets TAPS drown-trodden
Seek redemption’s fallacy myth
Sandcastle dreams dew perish
Awash see shores vanity.

Bang Bang
Dawn to dusk words
Wash out to see
Dusk to dawn starlight
Sparkles wry verse
Dost the mind blows
dust on wind frames
Dust the wind taketh
Dost yea mind, not giveth.
Blanks

Wry, oh why, do tears tear fabric
Sown solemn onto soles, idle of weight
Horizontal prone, we be rag doll tatters
Scarecrow needling a broken heart
Tin of man, upon pitter patter celling
Lion be kitty cat, purring next to you
Being the only soul consort consonance
As would could should pin pricks
Nevermore in forevermore lost
In the Golden Bricks, winding road to Oz.

I like how you've branched out into other realms like Oz. You're on the right track.
