Guardian Knight

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Writing for Peace of mind.

Thy Poetry is so constipated, thee needs an Ex-Lax consonant vowel movement.

Dye soul, cried alone, last knight
Pegasus shed a tear, adrift the wind
Thee knight mare neighed overcast
Whilst thy wise owl hooted to no avail
Medusa awoke, cementing stone face's fate

Guardian Knight

Sentinel writing Pegasus,
wry wing currents
Gladiator terse bard,
riding the wind’s tall tail
Free spirit troubadour,
aloft divine knight mare spirit
The Circle The Center
The Compass The Spokes
Evolving, revolving, evoking
Poetess of Democracy.

The Circle of Life’s conception,
must conceive Freedom
The Center of the UniVerse,
be thy soul core creation
The Compass bear clockwork paths
to be persona navigated
The Spokes are thy UniQue destiny
to explore enlightenment
Each one of US,
has a passageway life line,
birthright time voyage.

“Neigh,” says Pegasus,
“Do not follow masters,
whose path Lies in deceit.
Arise and Be knighted,
a sentinel guardian,
insight poet tree
living branches
Thee soul,
must blossom forth,
inside Divine Destiny,
dew furrow plead fertile
Seeds upon thy Earth existence,
dew make a difference,
in the world of words.
For without Legacy of Words,
one dies alone,
self inscribed -
grave headstone.

Who lies here,
asunder birth date ritual,
then died here,
upon date lost in infamy.
Why they must have been somebody,
to occupy cemetery
containment place-mat
Row after row aligned,
we are consigned for perpetuity
awaiting Armageddon lisp
Lot 6, row 12, position 23;
a mother lies,
beside adjoining husband
position 24
Position 25 and 26,
children who died
way too early;
Position 27,
time complacent.

What happens,
when there is nothing,
more to decay,
or move around
stilled Earth.
Will earth quakes,
move skeletal remains,
or flood waters
wash around
coffin bones.
There is another novel idea
in eternal poetic remembrance,
dost accumulating dust layers.
Upon pages of time,
let yellow dye rhyme
wilt reason seasoning
the Guardian Poet
The Circle The Center
The Compass The Spokes
must be unbroken
Aloft Guardian Knight Inherited Heritage.
