The Town Hall And Church Steeple

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

As thee sits in a womb tomb room, venting distress poetry that takes your name and leaves you, THS 1966 Poet blues that in after gloom, in 1966, I graduated 1A in selective service with a name. Now 55 years after, within tears in my HeART, I am left with no name, only THS 1966 Poet. Where I might be left "Poet" engraved in grave, petrified stone cold.

The Town Hall And Church Steeple

The Circle of time revolves around clockwise
While traffic evolves counter round the rhyme
Wherein The Center, we evoke universal thought
On meditative thinking, navigating The Compass

Encompassing temporal temple lobe hemisphere
WE traverse The Spokes, where the South goes out
Around the world, to come back in a North spoke
Go West they said, yea shall find your future destiny.

But coming back East, you come home to Tallmadge
Where “The Circle The Center The Compass The Spokes”
Will guide your UniQue individual journey experience
But its is the only one, with town hall, and church steeple.

A  hallmark "LIFE" blessed moment in rhyme, and time
For “womb” the Bells Tolls, ringing in Peace and Harmony.

(Lyrical Blessing)
May The Circle be unbroken feeling
The Center of thy heartbeats sing
The Compass navigating music harmony
Prancing The Spokes of a love melody

Whisper still, The Circle quiver quiet, floating rhyme reflections
As a flute sail sounds, alight The Center wind’s breath sense inflection
Silken wings dew feather The Compass verse, adrift solitude temperance
Wherein reflective spirits, The Spokes, be found in tranquility conception

Upon The Circle spell of magical rhyme
Sing me a tune from The Center of the heart
Where The Compass chorus sings amazing grace
Upon The Spokes key-way stairways lead to heaven

Hi David Lester Young! But then you are a POET to read and remember. Who says the "name" counts in the long run. You are in the centre of the mystic core, in the tradition of your own religious ancestors. You do deprecate your own self without proper reason. Sooner or later, writing will come to an end when literary and computer science experts put their heads together and produce softwares which will generate masterpieces in all genres of writing at the flutter of an eye-lid... Until then Courage, Poet!
