Tear Too C-old

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Tears are magical messengers, who transport feeling of emotion upon the sails of the wind.

Poem Artwork

Tear Too C-old

Tear varnish vanish polished
Old English crack weathered
The old chill, shivering cold
What was baptismal born tears
K-now feels roller coaster years.

What buds happy, soon wilts sad
New Year will bring on - years end
Rings accumulate amid swollen eyes
That bark that plays hides and seeks
As births bring, will also, death depart.

Things built to withstand time warp
Become wraiths under whirlpool winds
Melt upon enveloping lava heat flow wrath
Be sandcastles washed out to sea escapes
Sees the Titanic invincibility, upon the floor.

Oh tear. Oh tear of mine mind mainframes
Can thee count the ways into soul’s depth
That rip one way up, RIP another way down
Emotions that crawl chilled, in being so cold
Amid the cracking sounds, thrills one so old.

Oh dew. Oh dew moist insight, amid foresight
That our spirit must seek rainbow glass prisms
Upon skylight, bearing enlightened illumination
That live dost, deep within us - has Divine purpose
Where upon tears, We build our dreams, alight a
Tear Too G-old to feel old, by being molded alive.
