Too Be A Bee

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

What if, someone could sting you alive, with vivid verse, where you pollinate thyself with pure purpose, amid life stringing words, beating like heartbeats.

Lost this hat in South Austin. This poet misses his Whig hat. What if something lost, can be found today in America. We have lost so much here, in such a little time.

Too Be A Bee

Pollenated poet, Too Be budding branches
Where To Bee buzzes, amid bard strung works
Whence the troubadour winces string tune forks
That spring attuned passage way, sung avalanches.

Meek Be poets, who follow laying lame
Poet puppets, who surrender to weak fame
Following butts that utter behind birthnames
Who never ever challenge, mid twain’s name.

The depth of independence, rakes the words
Whence fertile poet plow, furrow the world
Dost forks seeded, mid strong Will, be whorls
That ply the pleats, applied mid insight chords.

Arise poet, then fall prone, to bear pure fruition
Because within our roller coaster emotion, be True Grit
That writes dye spirits determination, to stain heights
Where one finds boot straps, to climb thy owned ladder.

Dost to dust, our words bear fruition, or wilt fallow
To be blown away, rutted in that time begets time
Procrastinate thee naught that barks grave knot hollow
Forever and nevermore, amid forest echo be silenced.

Oh Poet Dye. Oh Poet Stain. Oh Poet find Thee Heartstrings
Attuned dye destiny to impregnates lines, mid lucid lit terse
Guardian champion, bee open minded thinking, alight Free Verse
That does not fallow follow, but buzzes enlightened enchantments.

Can one fly free the poet persona, amid hues aura
Oh poet dew pollenate, thy wings buzzing personas
Fluttering creative buds to blossom wordsmith halos
Where thee meadow lark, prances Angelic verse flora.
Too Be A Bee – Poet fauna.

Hi David Lester Young! Not until this personal testament of a poem was I able to break through to your "secret code", your poetical/poïetical credo even, but I'm not going to reveal what I have detected: it would take too long an explication for this site to stomach. One is used to cursory passing remarks here, sort of overt messages to remind one of his or her own "masterpieces" and the need for paying one's respects for all to see, a sort of self-congratulatory sense of belonging in a closed-circuit elite club. I will say no more for the moment. I think you get my point. Would be glad to see you elaborate on your own style of poïetics in your writings. Great New Year!
