Face Of Leather

The face has
froth withered,
spring fraught
That brought
dye storming
leather wrought
Time’s abrasive hourglass
whiplash pain grains
Drains,
wherein stain downpours,
dost reign

Pick pockets cheeks,
pot hole creeks,
fill in mature
Fountain of youth,
be fable fairy tail,
fulfill nurtured
Tied tongue,
viper forked stung,
decrepit obscure
Weathered terrain,
sunken eye to eye
secured

Leather hide and seek,
knot holes -
fallen timbre
Moan creaks and groans
frost bite crystal refrains
Amid wind chimes
resounding seer peer
clairvoyance
Petrified redundancy,
shatters complicit
complacency

“Who,”
cries the Knight owl
amid moonlight reprieve
Peeved “Whom,”
cried the scholar scalar
poet professor
Professing stoic standardization
in English pontification
Enunciation pronunciation
in leather binding elocution

But sir,
I am just a pauper poet,
without letter attribute
No entitlements of
super-ingenious
subliminal credentials
Whence one needs dictionaries,
and poet prod interpolators
Dye weather writes
leather wrought -
polished gemstones.
