The End Beginning

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Dost if seed be fallow, reseed thy seed fertile sown, amidst Poet's plow. Dew we not have tears that cry adrift the wind, to bring Thanksgiving blessing that WE are alive, to sow another years ~ toil.

Dost naught time offer us rhyme to ponder, yonder horizon's echo.

Dost The End of today bring the Beginning of the morrow's marrow ~ of the story.

The End Beginning

Dost naught
thy dormant seed
Seize thee
saline tears
grasp hold
Whence
RIP Van Winkle
dew awakes
To shed
dye cocoon,
aloft Lit enclosure.

What are WE
barren time
infested
Do WE naught
have to rhyme
 invest
Upon a fairytale spring,
troubadour tail twirl
Once,
trice around,
quarter moon
deposit.

The End,
what a relieve,
tis it bee,
too ponder
But alas,
it be a wailing ~
waning points
yonder
As thy tide,
be timepiece recycled,
moon cycles
Clockwise owl,
giving mid night quill,
still sermon.

Dost dawn
to dusk sunset,
approaches The End
Dark nest begets
another day
sunshine arrival ~
Beginning period

Life and certainly a cycle. For every loss there is a seed to a new beginning and the cycle continues.
