A Lone Room

by David Lester Young — Read all 1,103 poems by David Lester Young

Exiled one poet, exists in a room womb tomb crypt that too leave it, only brings on further woe. So here Federalists can control my UniVerse, and who can see my posts on Democracy.

This is a therapy rant that when one is full of it, ready to burst, a Poet needs to vent an open space.

I guess this room and bathroom is the only place left to wander, ponder thy depth twain fork, a lone passage composition.

It is this room, I will exist in a safety net to sleep days into weeks be months onto years slumber. It one Poet can exist that long in one room.

Sometimes thy soul's gravity, rests its head stone, upon a Medusa pillow.

A Lone Room

Womb tomb
off sort desolation
Crypt To Be
coffin Lit isolation
Bed sheet RIP up
deep depressions
Butt pivots prone
TAPS disposition
To sitting bedside,
butt fetal position.

Decomposition compost
crept crematorium
Censure censored cessation
morbid moratorium
Decomposing oneself,
dejection medium
Give up,
surrender poetic
passive podium
Something says to fight
negative delirium.

Computer grave
shrill scream
Tap dances finger
chill touches
Fraught full off
twill despair
Why believe,
be gristmill miracles
When death whippoorwill
knell beckons.

No personal
cell calls,
emails
Just SPAM,
get rich schemes
One waits,
one waits,
one waits
Even the mail
be commercial bills
“Dave not Here,”
plays lone
everywhere.

Hong Kong Democracy
Poet invisibility
China building
this invisible
barrier prison
Russian gulag
Siberian Putin
opposition
So dew not mess with
Zar Autocrat Aristocracy
Worldwide Democracy
destroyed, decimated.

Broken beyond broken
skeletal key hope
Be vanquished
mid solitude confinement
Dost to dust bee
room womb tomb crypt
Crumble crunched heartbeat
wallow depth
One exist here
to await
dying fate retribution.

Exile grave stone
etching scrapes
weather a lone
Resigned mid entombed
sleep escape
alone route,
Live is about
Too Bee naught butt
hollow sole bark
One exists confined,
cloned; knot-knock
American Dream
What next,
will wail it tail of woe,
in Poet’s Dead Society.

One awaits the mallow
of the next dead
terse bit sentence
As anew day
breaks its yoke
to scrabble scramble
dye verse
The joker will
play its card to your
room womb tomb tense
As the weight,
becomes too much to bear
nothing but nothing
As butt pivots
to sleep forever
more than that ~
head stone.

No better description of a living hell. Why I will not give up any more than the second floor of this house where I can occasionally wander between two computers and several window views of beautiful flowers, birds and occasional animals that find their way into my yard with the world as their room.

More than once during my college days I relegated myself to one room to study. But I wasn't a serious student. I would study hard, but when an occasion to leave the room whether it be a school vacation, some party or activity on campus, or merely a weekend getaway. Always firmly planting me back in the real world.

I understand that aging and the ailments that creep in as we age are a large part of us eventually scaling down to what we can afford and it may be very confining. I don't want to go where you're at, so by your telling me I have a better idea what to avoid.
