again to support

From those Pied Piper
Capital overthrow forces.
Do We The People
have to reaffirm
Christmas 1776
Patriotic Faith
upon a 2022
Pledge of Allegiance
To these United States
of Constitutional America
Where WE defeat
One Man One Party Autocracy
Seeking to destroy
Washington Crossing the Delaware.

Made me remember that day before Thanksgiving 1976, 200 years later, when I joined my twin brother on his workday in Manhattan. We left early in the morning from his Fort Washington home and drove across the Delaware to Trenton. We took the train to Pennsylvania Station. It was a very warm day. While he worked his consulting job at New York Hospital, I explored the subway and the city. Getting to the top of the Empire State building and climbing into the crowd of our symbol, the Statue of Liberty. It was an eventful day that ended about 10 PM when we returned to his house to the dining room table beautifully set by his wife for the next day turkey feast. Those were the days!
